Epcot’s Avocado Margarita Recipe From La Cava del Tequila

Let’s talk about one of the most iconic or maybe I should say ‘infamous’ drinks you can find at Disney World: Epcot’s Avocado Margarita at La Cava del Tequila! This delightful concoction is a true favorite among Epcot-ers. It combines the creaminess of avocado with the tangy kick of a classic margarita. Served up at the Mexico Pavilion, this drink is a perfect blend of flavors that will transport your taste buds to a tropical paradise. With its smooth texture and vibrant green color, it’s not only delicious but also Instagram-worthy! So, next time you’re strolling through Epcot, make sure to swing by the Mexico Pavilion and treat yourself to this refreshing and oh-so-tasty Avocado Margarita. But what if you’re not visiting Epcot anytime soon? Don’t worry, I have recreated this iconic Margarita recipe, for you!

If you haven’t had the opportunity to visit Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion, I’ll set the scene….On a hot day, after you’ve been walking the park for hours. Going into the cool dark Mexico Pavilion is like entering Valhalla. The air conditioning is pumping, the smells are delightful, and it’s visually festive. You enter a gallery displaying some Mexican artwork. As you go in further you find yourself in a twilight-lit outdoor village. In the distance you see the San Angel Inn Restaurant. Beyond that is a pyramid and smoldering volcano situated on a lagoon. AKA…Gran Fiesta boat ride! It feels like you’re in a far away place…..I love it! I’ve linked a ride along video below!…or Click Here for more ride-alongs on my YouTube Channel. Then you see it, La Cava del Tequila! This is a quant little bar with an assortment of margarita’s. And one of my favorites is the Avocado Margarita. I know it sounds weird, but it’s very tasty!

I’m no mixologist, but I’ve decided to recreate this popular margarita for you. The recipe is basically on their menu:

So, I took to my kitchen and liquor stash and found most of the ingredients! It was quick and easy to make. And it was pretty spot on in flavor! It took me back to Epcot! (Maybe it was the tequila).

I did add an additional ingredient based on some other margarita recipes I know. And I didn’t have the melon liquor, so I used a pear brandy that I had. You also need to add about 1-1.5 cup of ice and a blender. Here’s the recipe:

I hope you get a chance to make your own. I think it came out really close to Epcot’s…of course, minus that Disney Magic! (and price tag!
