Have you or someone you love ever wanted to experience the thrill of skydiving without the fear of jumping out of a plane…or dying?! For a long time, I thought “skydiving” was only for adrenaline junkies. But then I discovered iFLY Orlando indoor skydiving, which offers the ultimate flight experience in a safe, controlled, and accessible environment.
Whether you’re a local looking for things to do in Orlando or visiting and want a break from the theme parks, here is what you need to know!

Why iFLY?
I’m personally not a thrill-seeker and I’ve always had a fear of heights. However, iFLY uses a vertical wind tunnel to simulate the feeling of freefall while keeping you close to the ground. It’s an incredible way to get active and have a blast! When my son was 13 he was obsessed with it, and honestly, it’s one of the most unique fun things to do in Orlando.
iFly Orlando: Things You Should Know
Pretty much anyone can fly! Ages 3 and up are welcome. While most people can participate, please keep these safety guidelines in mind:
- Health Requirements: You should be in good general health. If you have a history of neck, back, or shoulder injuries, consult your doctor before booking.
- Weight Restrictions: iFLY can accommodate most guests. If you weigh between 260–300 lbs, you will require an evaluation by an iFLY staff member at check-in. Guests weighing over 300 lbs cannot be accommodated for safety reasons.
Logistics & Planning
- Location: You can find them at 8969 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819. This puts you in the heart of the action! If you are looking to make a day of it, check out our guide on Pointe Orlando or grab a meal at Twenty Pho Hour.
- Hours of Operation: Hours vary by season and day of the week. Please check the official iFLY Orlando website for the most accurate, up-to-date schedule before you head out.
- Reservations: While walk-ins are sometimes available, I highly recommend booking your flight online in advance to secure your spot—especially during weekends or holidays.

What to Expect on Flight Day
- Arrival: Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled flight time to check in and complete your flight waiver. (You can save time by filling this out online before you leave home!)
- Training: All first-time flyers receive a comprehensive training class. Your instructor will teach you the proper body position and hand signals.
- Gear: You will be provided with a flight suit, helmet, and goggles. I personally recommend wearing your own comfortable lace-up sneakers. You will need to remove all jewelry and secure any loose items before entering the wind tunnel.
- The Flight: You won’t be flying alone! Your instructor is with you inside the tunnel the entire time, guiding you and helping you maintain balance.

Is It Worth It?
The entire experience typically takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The “Super Saver” package is usually the most economical way to start, typically including two flights. If you love it, be sure to ask about their return-flyer discounts!
It is truly a memorable experience—perfect for kid’s parties, team building, or just a Saturday afternoon with the family…and it gets you out of the heat and summer rain storms!
All-in-all, I highly recommend a visit to iFly Orlando! It’s an experience you will NEVER forget. It gets you active and is truly a fun time!
