Hey there, fellow foodies and adventure seekers! Today, I want to take you on a virtual journey to one of the most unexpected and unique dining experiences in Orlando…Sharks Underwater Grill at SeaWorld. Now, I know you may be uninterested in going to a theme park just for dinner, but read on and you may change your mind! So get your sea-legs ready and let’s dive into a world of delicious food and mesmerizing underwater views!
First things first, let’s talk about the ambiance. As soon as you step into Sharks Underwater Grill, you’re hit with cool air, so refreshing after walking the park. Then you enter the low-lit dining room and begin to see the massive floor-to-ceiling aquarium! WOW, such a sight! Behind the glass, you see a variety of fascinating marine life, but the stars of the show are the amazing sharks. Is that JAWS, I see?! So cool…It’s like dining in the heart of the ocean…minus the possibility of being ‘something’s’ dinner.
Over the years, I’ve eaten at this spot several times, and always enjoyed it. But, on this last visit, I was very impressed by the food quality. Sharks Underwater Grill has definitely upped their game! And this year, you can find them on the Magical Dining lIst. But don’t get too excited, last I checked, all the Magical Dining reservations for this spot had been booked. However, if you are already planning a visit to SeaWorld, and not visiting for Magical Dining you may be able to get a walk-up reservation. As for the menu, it caters to all tastes and preferences. Whether you’re a seafood lover or prefer land-based options, there’s something for everyone. From fresh fish and succulent shrimp to mouthwatering steaks and juicy burgers, the menu is sure to satisfy even the pickiest eaters.
One of the standouts we had at Sharks Underwater Grill was the Grilled Lamb Chops. This was a starter…and they were cooked perfectly and oh-so-good! For my main, I got the Kobe Sliders, which were also cooked perfectly. We also got the Miso Roasted Salmon, which was fabulous too! What’s a meal without a refreshing cocktail?! They have a full bar but I recommend the Shark Tooth: Gray Whale Gin, sparkling wine, St. Germain, lemon juice, simple syrup. (A portion of Gray Whale Gin profits support Marine Conservation & environmental efforts.)
Now, let’s talk about the service. The staff at Sharks Underwater Grill truly goes above and beyond to make your dining experience unforgettable. From the moment you’re seated, they’re attentive, friendly, and always ready to answer any questions you may have. They’ll even take the time to share interesting facts about the marine life swimming right beside you, adding an educational touch to your meal.
And here’s a little insider tip – request a table near the aquarium. All the tables will give you a great view, but there’s nothing quite like enjoying your meal right next to majestic sharks gliding by. It’s a truly mesmerizing experience that will leave you in awe!
