Twenty Pho Hour Review: Is Orlando’s Famous 2D Noodle Bar Worth the Hype?

If you’ve spent any time scrolling through Instagram or TikTok looking for unique dining experiences in Orlando, chances are you’ve come across a striking, completely black-and-white dining room that looks like it was plucked straight out of a comic book sketch pad. I’ll admit, the first time I saw photos of America’s first 2D restaurant, I was a little skeptical.

So often, places with this much visual hype end up being all style and no substance. But as a local who is always on the hunt for the best pho in Orlando, I knew I had to head down to International Drive to see for myself. Is this viral sensation just clever Instagram bait, or is the food actually Michelin-worthy? Grab a pair of chopsticks and let’s dive into my honest Twenty Pho Hour Orlando review!

Twenty Pho Hour Location:

11951 International Dr Ste B-2, Orlando, FL 32821

One of the most alluring aspects of Twenty Pho Hour is of course…the 2D interior design! Why else would I drive all the way down to I-drive, in the rain? I had to see this in person…and it did not disappoint! I can say, this is one of the most unique places I’ve been too.

The black and white esthetic made me feel like I was in an old black and white cartoon! Very surreal! Make sure you document this experience. This place is full of photo opportunities for your Instagram-worthy content.

The Open 24hrs Myth:

Let’s bust a quick myth right out of the gate: despite the clever name play, they are not actually open 24 hours a day! Check their current hours before you head out, but definitely expect a bit of a line during peak dinner times because this cozy spot fills up fast

The Menu: Instagram Bait or Michelin-Worthy Broth?

It’s easy to assume a place this visually stunning is just ‘Instagram bait,’ but Twenty Pho Hour actually backed up its looks by landing a spot in the official Orlando Michelin Guide. The slow-simmered beef broth is the real deal. If you want a little dining drama, order the Short Rib Pho—the massive bone literally juts right out of the bowl!

We ordered fried pork dumplings and crab rangoon for appetizers. I got the Crispy Pig Bowl with ramen noodles and my son did the build your own bowl. Everything was delish! Oh and I had to order the “purple” drink I’d been seeing! It’s the Taro Milk Tea with tapioca boba and my son got the boba Thai tea. They also offer beer, sake, and sake based cocktails.

Wondering what you can expect from Twenty Pho Hour?

We came for lunch around 12:30 on a Wednesday. It’s located in a very nice shopping center with plenty of parking. Upon entering the restaurant, we were met with a short line of people waiting to give their order, pay, and be seated.

This is a cashless payment system, so bring your cards….does anyone still use cash?? The line moved fast and we were seated by the hostess. She handed us a number for our table so the food runner could find us. Speaking of the food, since this is a restaurant, and not just a photo shoot! The food was really good and came out hot and fast!
