I’m not a thrill-seeker and I’m afraid of heights! Hence, the brief faze and being 19. But, flash forward some 20 years, with iFly Orlando an Indoor Skydiving experience you can skydive in a safe controlled environment.
iFly Orlando: Things You Should Know
I’m still not a thrill-seeker but my 13 year old son is! We saw this building while visiting Ripley’s Mirror Maze on International drive. It looked pretty cool, so when I got home I did some research on it.
Pretty much anyone can fly. Ages 3 and up! As long as you are in a good health condition, have no neck, back, or shoulder issues and weigh less than 300lbs.

You can walk-in or make reservations online. Depending on day and time, reservations would be advised. Expect to be there for an hour or two. And all first-time flyers are required to take the training class. You’ll get a lot of important and helpful information as well as some pre-flight practice of your flying position. If you’ve flown within the last three months, you don’t have to do the training session again.
Arrive 15 minutes early so you can fill out your Flight Waiver (or do it online). You will be given a flight suit and shoes, if necessary. But, I recommend wearing your own sneakers. You will need to remove all jewelry. You can wear glasses and will be provided with goggles, either way. There are lockers for use.
Check out these wind tunnels! Basically, it’s a machine that moves A LOT of air at speeds high enough to keep you floating! Now, they don’t just let you fly free….as fun as that would be!
Each person goes in the tunnel with their flight instructor. Who is awesome! They are with you the entire time, guiding and helping you stay balanced. Total flight lengths depend on the package that you choose.
The most economical is the ‘Super Saver’ package, starting at $74. (The Super Saver offer is valid Monday-Friday from 11am-4:30pm, excluding holidays and peak periods.) This package contains 2 flights.
Some of the packages include double-length flights which lasts double the time at a reduced cost. The entire iFLY Orlando first-time flyer experience takes approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes from start to finish.

My son has flown twice and is already planning his next visit. (They do give a discount for return fliers.) I would imagine this would be a blast for kid’s parties as well as adults! All-in-all, I highly recommend a visit to iFly Orlando! It’s an experience you will NEVER forget. It gets you active and is truly a fun time!
