Mama Mia! Pizza, pasta, meatballs, and wine! I’m always craving delicious authentic Italian food. And I’ve found a delightful spot you must visit. Rome’s Flavours, a cozy little gem in the heart of Winter Park, Fl.
Rome’s Flavours is located at: 124 E Morse Blvd, Winter Park, FL 32789
From the moment you step inside Rome’s Flavours, you’re greeted with the warm and inviting aroma of freshly baked focaccia and simmering sauces. The ambiance is casual and warm, with touches of Mediterranean decor. This small restaurant will make you feel like you’ve been whisked away to a trattoria in Italy!
This is a perfect lunch or dinner spot, right off Park Avenue. This is a small restaurant, so you may want to make a reservation, although walk-ins are welcome.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show….the food! Rome’s Flavours prides itself on fresh authentic Italian cuisine. The house-made pasta is a game changer for those wanting pasta like your Nonna used to make! Made fresh daily with organic flour imported from Italy! So many tasty options…..which will you choose?!
I got the Chef’s special: Fettuccine Shrimp & Pistachio, which was amazing! Also ordered at our table was the Fettuccine with Mushrooms and Bacon and Fettuccine alla Puttanesca, all were delicious! But I hear the Fettuccine alla Bolognese is very popular as well…..maybe next time!
I don’t think you could make a ‘bad’ pasta choice at Rome’s Flavours! But when I think about this dinner experience, my mind goes to the meatballs and focaccia… you must get the meatballs! These are the best meatballs, I’ve had. So tender and well seasoned. Perfection.
I could go just for these meatballs and a glass of Amarone! Just scrumptious! On my next visit, I will be trying their pizza, which looked amazing….did I mention they import the water from Italy for the dough?! They have a number of traditional and gourmet pizza’s to choose from. Lot’s of authentic and unique toppings like: Porcini Mushroom, Salami, Ricotta, Sausage, Eggplant, and more!
If pizza and pasta’s aren’t your thing, try their Branzino, Lamb, or Filet. There’s something for everyone and it’s all top notch!
A little history about the owners: Pino and Emilia immigrated to the United States in 2013, with the dream of bringing their Italian traditions to the Winter Park area. Rome’s Flavours started as a gelato shop and has since evolved into the culinary showcase of Italy that it is today. I am so grateful that they did! They are open for lunch, dinner, and take-out. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

We discovered this gem a few years ago when we visited Florida, and can’t wait to go back there in a few weeks. We’re hoping we can book a table for our family of ten when they join us. The appetizers and the meals were incredibly fresh and delicious. We ate there twice during our stay in Orlando.
I love little places like these! Also, you must check out Mama Napoli…it’s a tiny Italian market and they make the most delicious sandwiches. Try the Sofia, it’s my favorite!
