Orlando is world-famous for its high-energy thrills and neon lights, but those of us who call Central Florida home know that the real magic often happens in the quiet corners.
Whether youโve just spent three days navigating the crowds with myย Ultimate Disney World Guideย or you’re a local looking to escape the I-4 hum, finding chill spots in Orlando (or near Orlando) is essential.

My favorite go-to chill spots in or around Orlando where I can throw on a ball cap and my comfy shoes and just be relaxed..
In this 2026 refresh, Iโve scanned the city to make sure these “chill spots” are still holding down the vibe. From the lakeside breezes of Longwood to the tucked-away terraces of the Mills 50 district, these are the places where I go to hit the reset button.
1. Wekiva Island (Longwood)
Located at: 1014 Miami Springs Dr. Longwood, Fl 32779

Wekiva Island is one of my favorite chill spots just outside of Orlando. Openย SundayโThursday from 8:00am to 7:00pm, andย FridayโSaturday from 8:00am to 11:00pm.
This is a no frills….budget friendly fun kind of place to hangout by/in the water. It’s a perfect place to grab a cold beer and relax! They also have kayaks and paddle boards to rent. The indoor/outdoor bar (The Tooting Otter) has craft beers and wine. And on Friday and Saturday evening they usually have live music.
If you happen to get hungry, they have a permanent food truck (Without a Paddle Cafe) that has a large selection of tasty food!
There is a $5 per person charge to enter on the weekends…and they and do can reach capacity. And on occasion they get rented out for a private event. (I’ve found during the week I don’t have a problem getting in.)
And If you want to make a day of it, you can rent a cabana. For more information check out their website, HERE.
So if you’re looking for some serious Florida relaxation vibes, make sure to add this to your list!
2. The Acre (College Park/Edgewater)

The Acre, located at 4421 Edgewater Dr. Orlando, 32804, is an indoor/outdoor event space that can be booked for various events….however, when they are not booked they are open to the public. This eclectic indoor/outdoor space welcomes its visitors to picnic and play in its various cozy nooks.
Here you can play lawn games, have some cocktails and small bites, watch a movie or listen to live music….depending on the day. Hours are typicallyย ThursdayโSaturday from 5pm to 11pmย andย Sunday from 12pm to 8pm. They do different events during the month. Maybe a painting class or perhaps a flower event…Click here to visit their website for more information and months schedule.

Did I mention, they have an adorable tequila truck for some adult beverages! They also have a bar with beer and wine as well as a small market. They have snacks, sodas, and ciabatta pizzas. We didn’t try the food, but it looked pretty good.
The Acre has several small buildings on-site to congregate in. My son found a small building with old pin-ball machines in it, which he played! These hidden spots make it feel very enchanting and cozy. Next time we go, I want to go in the evening when all the twinkle lights are on…so romantic.
3. The Neighbors Retail & Cocktail
Located inside East End Market: 3201 Corrine Drive, Orlando, 32803 (Upstairs)

You can find this little shop and cocktail bar open daily from 12:00pm โ 9:00pm Sun โ Tues and 12:00pm โ 10:00pm Wed โ Sat.
Since The Neighbors is located at East End Market, there’s plenty of food options downstairs. But upstairs you’ll find bar bites like cocktail pizzas, whipped feta, and Medjool dates. This a perfect “chill” spot, but the food is more focused on snacking while you sip.
Their current Neighborhood Happy Hour isย All Day Monday & Tuesday, andย 3โ6pm Wednesday through Friday. Theyโve got $6 cocktails and $5 Old Fashioneds and local beers (like Ravenous Pig brews).
This spot reminds me of a 90’s coffee house….I’m not sure why, but it gives me a throw-back vibe to my ‘younger free spirit’ era! And I love it…

After 5, they have an A la Carte menu from Danilo’s Pasta Bar. And even if you go before they serve any food, you can always go downstairs to the market for some tasty bites. This is an all-around chill spot that offers something for everybody. Take your time and enjoy yourself!
4. The Sunroom (Mills 50)

The name ‘Sunroom’, says it all. Located in the Mills 50 District: 1315 N. Mills Ave., Orlando 32803. This is a bar straight out of an old Florida sunroom…. well that’s vibe I get.
Beautiful plants surround you in this sunny spot. And did I mention the terrazzo bar top?! Hello old Florida! This super relaxing spot is the perfect environment to give you the Florida life feels! And who doesn’t want that?!
This bar features tropical and bright flavored creations. Some of the delicious cocktail creations are Made In The Shade and Mockingbird. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays. They openย TuesdayโThursday at 6pmย andย FridayโSaturday at 5pm.
This last chill spot in Orlando is more of an honorable mention. It’s not a place you’re going to go and meetup with your friends, necessarily. But, when I think of chill and relaxing in Orlando, this place comes to mind….
5. The Beer Spa (I-Drive area)

The Beer Spa….it’s a spa with beer!..and wine. What’s more relaxing than that?! Intrigued? You should read about my relaxing experience!
