Between Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort, our park days have seriously stepped up. And now that Universal Epic Universe is officially open, the theme park cocktail game has been elevated to an entirely new stratosphere.

The newest park on the block has completely re-engineered what a theme park beverage program can be. The mixology here is creative and deeply tied to the stories of each land…as it should be!
1. Bar Moonshine (1920’s Paris – Ministry of Magic)
- The Vibe: A beautifully designed, clandestine British-in-Paris-style pub hidden right within the French wizarding district. It’s packed with historical charm and beautiful details.
- The Order: Gigglewater (an amber, shimmering elderflower prosecco spritz) or the Lobe Blaster (moonshine, limoncello, and a splash of absinthe).
- Why it Clears the Bar: Move over traditional Butterbeer—this is the ultimate spot for actual mixology. The Lobe Blaster is minty, lemony, and refreshing to drink, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve slipped into a secret speakeasy.
2. Burning Blade Tavern (Dark Universe)
- The Vibe: A spectacular, moody tavern tucked away in the shadows of Dark Universe. The exterior features a giant windmill that bursts into flames periodically, while the inside serves as a trophy-laden sanctuary for monster hunters.
- The Order: The Pure of Heart Cocktail (whiskey, violet liqueur, creme de cassis, lime juice, pineapple, honey syrup, ginger beer) or a draft pour of their signature spiced Reaper’s Reserve ale.
- Why it Clears the Bar: Universal completely mastered the gothic atmosphere here. The “Blade” of The Burning Blade Tavern actually burns with fire! I thought this was so cool. It made me feel like I was in a different world…also it’s so beautiful at night. The cocktail presentation matches the eerie vibe perfectly, and it is a massive win for fans of classic Universal monsters and dark, moody lounges.
3. Bar Zenith (Celestial Park)
- The Vibe: Bright, cosmic, and fiercely forward-thinking, located right in the heart of Celestial Park’s lush gardens with stunning views of the fountain shows.
- The Order: Blueberry Old Fashioned or Stellar Cloud (tequila, basil eau de vie, blue curaçao, and a literal gold glitter cloud).
- Why it Clears the Bar: This open-air bar is the perfect place to pause and sip a high-end cocktail. They use real Buffalo Trace for their Blueberry Old Fashioned, proving Epic Universe isn’t cutting any corners on their premium spirits.
4. Mead Hall (How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk)
- The Vibe: Massive, rustic, and grand. It’s a literal Viking feast hall hewn from mountain rock with heavy wooden architecture and grand chandeliers.
- The Order: A glass of local Honey Mead or a flight of unique central Florida craft ales.
- Why it Clears the Bar: If you love a cozy, historic pub feel but want it on a grand, theatrical scale, Mead Hall delivers. Sipping authentic sweet honey wine out of a goblet makes you feel like you’ve stepped right into the movie.

1. Finnegan’s Bar & Grill (New York) CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS
- The Vibe: A lively, authentic Irish pub right on the streets of New York. There’s almost always a live musician playing pub classics, and the energy is infectious.
- The Order: Garnish Spring (Gunpowder gin, cucumber liqueur, lime juice, lemonade) refreshing when it’s hot out or a classic Black & Tan or Nutty Cocoa (fireball, hazelnut liqueur, Irish cream, hot cocoa) on colder days or nights!
- Why it Clears the Bar: Finnegan’s has that rare neighborhood feel despite being in the middle of a massive movie studio. It’s loud, friendly, and the perfect place to grab some potato-onion web and take a long midday break.
2. Chez Alcatraz (San Francisco)
- The Vibe: Straight out of Amity Island….I sure miss the Jaws ride that used to be in this area.
- The Order: The Ocean Attack this rum cocktail is blue and topped with red “blood” and comes with a cherry & shark gummy….yummy…do it for the gram. Or the special for ‘Summer 2026’ get ‘The Great White’ in honor of our love for Jaws. (Vodka, lemon juice, elderflower syrup and sprite).
- Why it Clears the Bar: They can do anything here and the bartenders are some of the best on property.
Best Bars in Universal’s Islands of Adventure
1. Hog’s Head Pub (The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade)
- The Vibe: Dark, rustic, and tucked away in the back of the Three Broomsticks. The massive animatronic hog’s head behind the bar actually snarls periodically.
- The Order: The Hog’s Head Tea this off menu item is basically a Long Island Iced Tea (or a Pear Cider layered with Guinness).
- Why it Clears the Bar: Everyone is waiting in line outside for regular Butterbeer, but insiders walk right into the pub. It’s wonderfully moody, blessedly air-conditioned, and they serve exclusive craft beers brewed specifically for the Wizarding World.
2. Backwater Bar (Port of Entry)
- The Vibe: A tropical, explorer-themed bar attached to Confisco Grille right at the front of the park.
- The Order: Confisco’s Margarita or any margarita….they’re all good!
- Why it Clears the Bar: This is Islands of Adventure’s best-kept secret. Most people walk right past it on their race to VelociCoaster. It’s a fantastic, relaxed indoor spot to grab a strong, well-poured cocktail before tackling the rest of the park. It’s my first stop when visiting Islands of Adventure!

Best Bars in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
1. Nomad Lounge (Discovery Island)
- The Vibe: A gorgeous, travel-inspired oasis right next to Tiffins, complete with overhead banners celebrating global exploration and a wrap-around veranda over the water.
- The Order: The Tempting Tigress (Russell’s Reserve 10yr bourbon, allspice dram liqueur, tamarind, and lime juice).
- Why it Clears the Bar: Nomad Lounge is widely considered by locals to be the best lounge on Disney property, period. The drinks are complex, the small plates (especially the sliders and churros) are elite, and sitting out on the porch people watching (or hiding from those Florida rain storms) is pure bliss.
Best Bars in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
1. Oga’s Cantina (Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge)
- The Vibe: A bustling, chaotic, subterranean smuggler’s safe haven. With DJ R-3X spinning intergalactic beats, it’s a total fun and sensory overload.
- The Order: The Fuzzy Tauntaun (vodka, peach schnapps, oj, sugar, tingling foam)
- Why it Clears the Bar: It’s topped with a proprietary “Buzzz” foam made from the Sichuan button flower that literally numbs your tongue and makes your lips tingle! It’s an absolute core theme park memory that you have to experience at least once….then ask for a straw!
2. BaseLine Tap House (Grand Avenue)
- The Vibe: An airy, brick-walled, industrial-chic California corner pub.
- The Order: Create-Your-Own Beer Flight paired with the giant Bavarian pretzel.
- Why it Clears the Bar: When Hollywood Studios gets overwhelming, this is my ultimate sanctuary. They serve up fantastic California craft beers and wines on tap. Grab a seat on the shaded outdoor patio for the best people-watching in the park.

1. La Cava del Tequila (Mexico Pavilion)
- The Vibe: A cozy, dimly lit, brick-walled tequila cave hidden deep inside the Mexico Pavilion pyramid.
- The Order: The Avocado Margarita (tequila, melon liqueur, fresh avocado, lime juice, and an agave nectar rim).

2. Space 220 Lounge (World Discovery)
- The Vibe: A sleek, futuristic lounge floating 220 miles above the Earth, accessible via a “space elevator” simulation.
- The Order: The Up All Night Their version of an Espresso Martini—it even comes with astronaut ice cream!
- Why it Clears the Bar: While getting a dining reservation for the main restaurant requires a miracle, (read my review here) you can often join the walk-up list for the lounge. The presentation on the space-themed cocktails is pure theater, and the panoramic views of Earth are stunning.
3. Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar (Italy Pavilion)
Tutto Gusto is located next door to Tutto Italia Restaurant in Epcot Italy Pavilion.
- The Vibe: An authentic, stone-walled Italian wine cave. Think cozy leather chairs, dark wood, and over 200 bottles of Italian wine.
- The Order: A glass of robust Chianti Classico paired with a custom meat and cheese board….or Espresso Martini! You can even get this ‘to-go’ from the bar.
- Why it Clears the Bar: When the World Showcase gets packed shoulder-to-shoulder, Tutto Gusto is my ultimate escape. It’s quiet, romantic, and perfectly channels those sophisticated wine-bar vibes I look for!
4. Rose & Crown Pub (United Kingdom Pavilion)
- The Vibe: A boisterous, classic British pub complete with a dark wood bar and a piano player leading sing-alongs.
- The Order: The Pimm’s Cup or Imperial Sampler (featuring short pours of five classic British beers and ciders).

If you are visiting Disney World, some of the best bars aren’t actually inside the parks, but along the Monorail Loop or the Skyliner route. Taking a “resort crawl” is a great way to see the beautiful hotels and enjoy shorter wait times for a table than you might find inside the parks.
